Comedy Sportz worldclass Improv Training!

Have you ever watched the show, "Whose Line is it Anyway?"  That is what Improv is.  And the very best Improv group in town (and the rest of the country) is ComedySportz!  They have agreed to team up with us to teach their amazing Improv!  This is the first time this class is being offered in San Antonio to kids!

And the VERY COOL part is that after this workshop, you will actually get to PERFORM WITH THEM AT ONE OF THEIR SHOWS!!!!!

The YouTube (& Vine) Star in You!

Week 2: June 16-20

Have you ever wanted to be a YouTube star?  How about create a Vine?  Well let's DO IT!

Come and make YouTube Videos and Vines that we will post to the internet! Learn how to create your own YouTube Channel and what is/is not allowed. Learn what is safe and what is not to post as well.

 Direct your own showAND Star in one!  Let your creative juices flow!

Shakespearian Comedy and Insults

Week 3:  June 23- 27

“You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe!”

How many times have you heard that?

None, I will bet!

Shakespeare is often misunderstood.  You see, he was call "The Bard", meaning that he could actually be rather vulgar!  But he said things so poetically that he is thought by young people to be "sophisticated".

Actually he just spoke the way the people of his day spoke, but he did it with "pinash"!

Come learn how to insult your friends - poetically!  We will also look at some of his more hilarious work and show how "sophisticated" (not!) he could be!  

So the next time someone says something you do not like, you can say, "“Thy tongue outvenoms all the worms of Nile” and smile as they just look at you with a puzzled look on their face! 

Reality TV Week

Week 5:  July 7-11

Did you know "Reality TV" is not really reality?  Come find out as we make our own "Real World"! (And maybe even have a lock in!)  Also look at all the "genres" and pick one to film each day!  Do you want to do "Honey Boo-Boo", "Survivor", "Dancing with the Stars", "The Bigget Loser", or maybe even "The Bachelor"?

All will be done with fun in mind!  And we will post the finished product on our YouTube site!  Come see how "Real" we can be!

2-Week Musical

Week 6 and Week 7:  July 14 - 25

Let's DO this!

In just two weeks we will put together a MUSICAL!  We will learn songs, choreography, and our scripts!  We will create sets and costumes!  We will publicize and on the last day have a FULL PERFORMANCE at 7pm on Friday, July 25th!  You will be able to invite your family and friends as they are impressed with your show!

We have done this for the past 4 years and each year the shows get better and better!  Come let's do a show!!!!

Zombie Apocalypse

Week 8:  July 28 - Aug 1

Are you ready for the Zombie Apocalypse?  Or are YOU a zombie?  Come with us as we create what would happen!  Maybe make our own "Thriller" video!  Just as long as we don't eat brains! (hmmmmm....)

Acting for Film

Week 9:  August 4 - 8

So you wanna be an Actor?  Learn exactly what it takes!  We will work on audition techniques, cold readings, choices, and characters.  Learn the difference between stage acting and film acting.  Professionals in "the Biz" will be brought in to answer questions and tell it to you straight!  This is a good way to make contacts and meet folks in "the know".  Come see if you have what it takes to be the next Johnny Depp or Selina Gomez!

The Minecraft Experience

Week 10:  August 11 - 15

Bring a laptop, tablet, phone or iPod with the most current version of Minecraft loaded.

You will log in to our server in a World we have created.

You will be assigned to a team.

Your teams will be given challenges.

Prizes will be awarded!

We will also make our own crafts like Diamond Swords and Creeper and Steve heads!

This is one of the most fun workshops we have ever done!  Come experience Minecraft!

Stage Makeup

Week 11:  August 18 - 22

How do they do that?  Learn some fun stage make up techniques!  Old Age, Fantasy, Aliens, and even Top Model!  Come learn to be the best next halloween!!!
