After School Care
Acting Up Creative Drama Academy will pick students up via shuttle bus/van from the following schools in the NISD area:
Elementary Schools: Beard, Helotes, Kuentz, Scobee, Steubing, Krueger, and Wanke
Middle Schools: Garcia, Stinson, Stevenson, and Jefferson
Students may attend from other schools, but pick up service will not be available.
The students will then be taken to the Academy, where they will be given time for an afternoon snack. Students must bring their own snacks. Parents, please make sure to pack accordingly.
The After School Program will have daily Creative Drama Classes. The classes will focus on trust exercises, building ensemble, vocal projection, improvisation skills, audience etiquette, audience awareness, characterization, as well as, of course, "Social Presence".
After class, the students will have the opportunity to work on their homework, assisted by teachers and students from O'Connor High School.
Students will need to be picked up by 6:30pm.
